Captain Patrick has been fishing since a very young age. From the waters of Baja up to the Southern California coast, years on the water has given him an instinctive understanding of seasonal migrations, offshore patterns, and where the fish are biting.
With six years of professional experience aboard larger SoCal charter vessels, Patrick knows how to run fun and smooth trips finding the right spots to catch fish — whether it's a 4-hour family trip or a full 8-hour offshore adventure.

Pacific Venture is the only 6-passenger commercial charter vessel in Oceanside equipped with an automatic life raft and an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon), critical emergency equipment that exceeds standard requirements.
The vessel holds an official Uninspected Passenger Vessel (UPV) decal issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, confirming full compliance with federal safety standards.
Pacific Venture is a 43' LOA vessel that's powered by a pair of 230 HP Yanmar 2023 Diesel engines. She's got plenty of room for up to 6 people to fish and enjoy themselves in comfort. She's got 'SeaKeeper Stabilization Technology', specifically designed to virtually eliminate 90% boat roll. Not only that, but she's got a spacious flybridge with seating for 5 people, as well as a toilet that comes in very handy on longer trips.
Pacific Venture also hosts seasonal whale watching excursions and respectful burials at sea, handled with the same professionalism and care. Every trip is about creating memorable experiences on the water.

8 Hour Trip - Inshore on August 5, 2025 • 5 adults • 1 childOur 3 generations from 11-69 had a great day aboard the Pacific Venture Charter. Captain Chuck and First Mate Yale are true pros, fisherman and hosts. From start to finish our all day charter was always fun, interesting and we caught everything from Mako Sharks to Bass. I had never experienced the SeaKeeper Stabilization Technology which takes all the roll out of a vessel. No seasickness for me on this trip!!!! The Mako was excellent last night for dinner and the bass follows tonight. We WILL be back! Thanks Captain and Yale.

greay day on the water. plenty of tasty rock fish, bonito, and a mako shark. The seakeeper is what makes this a special boat, very little movement and no chance of seasickness. great boat for families and to bring your wife and kids.

I began fishing before I could even remember. I have had a passion for fishing since age 3. I would always be looking forward to trips with my dad. Whether that was going to Baja, fishing the sports in San Diego or going to Catalina for a few days at a time in the summers. Over the last 8 years I have been working hard learning the techniques to catch these pelagic fish aswell and study there migration cycles. After spending 6 years on the Oceanside 95 I feel confident taking clients out and putting them on fish in a fun and safe manner. Southern California is special and I feel so grateful to be able to be on the water day in and day out and teaching people who don’t get to fish a lot, all that California has to offer.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
