Trip Summary
Here’s a quick “What’s Biting” report for Sarasota Bay this March:
Snook – Biting well, especially around docks and mangroves on warmer days. Night fishing around lighted docks has been productive too.
Redfish – Active on shallow grass flats and mangrove shorelines. Best action during high tides, with some holding in potholes during low tides.
Trout – Plenty of action on deep grass flats, with bigger trout showing up in the shallows early in the morning.
Mackerel & More – Spanish and king mackerel are heating up in the coastal gulf, along with cobia and tripletail near buoys and floating structures.
Fishing is solid right now, and things will only get better as the water warms up. Book a trip and let’s get on the fish!
