Trip Summary
What a day it was on the water with my clients. Caught over 25 snook with only two of them being under slot. By the time our livewell was almost empty, my clients didn't have enough fight in them to battle one more rod bending snook.
We found them stacked up just about anywhere in the inlets. Biggest thing is to find the strongest moving water and to have live bait. If you cast your sardine a few too many times and he isn't swimming all that good, take him off and replace it with a lively one.
Keep your eyes out for tarpon in the channels, this is the time to stack up the catch ratio on big tarpon inshore or on the beach. Early morning seems to be easier to get them eating, but don't be scared to fish the afternoon to evening. This weekend brings us a new moon so get out there early and get tight with. If fish at first light.
If you see me out on the water, feel free to ask any questions, until then, stay tightline and take a kid fishing. It's not always about catching the most fish, it's about enjoying the adventure.
