Trip Summary
Fishing after a front can be challenging. Working oyster bars and deeper sections that hold warmer water paid off for these folks! The trout we’re holding along the deeper oyster bars eating white bait. There were redfish mixed in as well on the sections of the bars. The snook are congregated in the warmer sections of canals with mixed bottom of oysters and mud that keeps the water temperatures more stable. If your really looking for the meat haul, we are in the tail end of the sheepshead spawn so targeting them in or around the passes with deeper structure will work. I used a chicken rig with a 1/0 or 2/0 hook with enough weight for it to hold bottom. Then just wait for that familiar bump.
