The water clarity has been getting good over the last week and along with it and the waning moon the King Mackeral fishing has picked up. Kings, as they are known along the Gulf Coast, offer the angler a unique chance to battle a fish that makes hard charging hits and screaming runs that peel line from the reel. Kings are typical a shallow water fish feeding on a variety of small bait fish. The larger fish often referred to as smoker kings like a bit larger bait but will also take a smaller offering.
