Trip Summary

Yesterday we had a small Mako hit our chum slick then get spooked by a large pod of dolphins that came in hot. He bolted and we didn't see the Mako Shark again- bad timing. All the local Barracuda are killer food for the Makos. The Bass and Barracuda is great right now Yesterday we had 3ppl on the Scarab for a 6 hor. Only the teenager son fished and he caught over 60 Bass and Barracuda. Today we had a 3 hour on the scarab w 4 anglers and caught over 70 Bass and Barracuda. Only one legal in that mix but a blast with light tackle. Dinker city.

2 days ago morning 4 hour charter one person 3 Bass 3 makeral . Yesterday same trip at 6 am but extended it an hour to make it a 5 hr instead of 4. Same client as the day before w 6 fish but brought his son and sons friend- over 100 Bass and Barracuda. After that we had a 3 hrs yesterday w 2ppl for 7 Bass. Today I did a 5 hr 6 am and we got makeral, sand Bass, calico Bass, spotted bay Bass, one 3 foot Barracuda. The scarab had a 12- 3 three hour 3 people but only one fishing and he caught over 60 Bass and barracuda.

My nephews came out from Texas with only two big coolers to take fish back to their fire stations. They are both lieutenants. They got the fight of their life. Fought the beast until 4 am. Hours of cleaning fish at Doheny under my motorhome canopy. Filled four hudge coolers and took home a jaw estimated to be worth upwards of $$$. Filled my entire commercial freezer to chill it before their drive home. Tons of work.
