Trip Summary

Ran offshore about 8 miles south. Goind my wreck of choice and the day began. Large haddock22-26 inches with fee shorts mixed in. Clams and squid were on the menu. Got a very big cusk and a few cod. Cod must be released. Fishing in couple hundred feet was the magic depth. What a great time.

Left Gloucester early to get bait. Mackerel were scarce but we got a half dozen off to the tuna spot. Half way there Capt John spots some mackerel moves up up along them , everybody got a triple getting is enough bait. Finished our trip out Saw 10 or so boats . Captovrd the boat around got his spot and had the anchor set. Right where he wanted, started to set out the gear and a few mark came across the screen. They were the only mark we saw all day. Fished thru the tide change no action. We decided to go haddock fishing. Moved about 3 miles set the anchor , first drop keeper haddock, then a few more. Really nice ,20- 22 inch fish. Caught a couple giant whiting and cod.. Great day Thank you Maureen for sharing you great family.. Thank you, Capt. John
