Captain Ivan first took us to catch live bait, then headed out to deep water where we trolled for Mahi. We ended up pulling a 20lb and 60lb fish in the boat. We then set up for Marlin and ended up hooking up to a nice Striped Marlin. He was good with teaching the couple novice anglers that were with me how to reel the fish in. Considering the time that we are here is less of a high season for fishing, Julio knew where to take us and we were never bored! Caught 2 giant rooster fish, red snapper, trigger fish, and quite a few jacks. He helped me (novice fisherwoman) get the basics down and my parter is a seasoned pro and he had the best time too. We booked another boat with La Shina for the next week too, would recommend them to anyone!!

Our family loved the trip. Caught a nice Marlin, Captain was terrific and filleted the fish for us to make Ceviche for our family reunion!

We went out, my son (age 9), my husband and I. We were scheduled to go in the afternoon, but were advised due to fishing reports to go in the morning. We caught 4 yellow tail tuna! Captain Julio was amazing. The fishing was too difficult for our son, the fish weighed 30lbs.

Our captain was a great fisherman and you could tell he loved to fish. That helped us get into the fish. We landed 4, and probably could have landed 6 if we were more experienced. Great trip overall. I would book with LA Shina again
