The day started with a call from Bill that it was pouring down rain and lightning on the north end of the lake.
The front passed and we hit the water a half hour late. The fishing was slow at the start…the fish seemed uninterested.
Bill worked all his hotspots and still slow.We were marking some on the gear but not much.
We kept working till my buddy from Jersey hooked a really nice spotted bass. Then we moved and Scottie Boy hooked that monster Blue Cat. I was happy for my buddy but how bout me?
Bill moved again I caught the spotted bass in the picture. Moved a couple more times. Bill has ants n his pants if they ain’t hungry.
Moved to the last spot. Huge bait ball. I bring another spot over the rail. Bill sez well Boyz let’s head to the house. I was reeling up the last line …a down line. I always give the bait a couple hugs before I bring it in. And BAM. That striper damn near took that pole out of my hands!

This trip was nothing less than awesome!  Mr. Bill, of Beck n Call, was delightful from the moment he responded to our request to book.  We arrived this morning to the same cheerful disposition. He was patient, kind, funny and knowledgeable.  We went out on his fishing boat, which contained state of the art equipment, comfortable seating and plenty of space for not only our party of three, but also our belongings, which included complete winter gear for three people.  The weather conditions weren’t ideal for me because I absolutely hate being cold.  It was freezing (if he tells you that the temps will be 10-15 degrees cooler on the water, believe him and act accordingly)!  But, we made the best of it, as Mr. Bill engaged everyone aboard, including my 12 year old daughter.

Regarding equipment, as I mentioned above, the boat housed state of the art equipment that allows us to see the fishing conditions. Mr. Bill knew the lake extremely well and knew several pockets to see and find fish.  I HIGHLY recommend this company.  Looking forward to future trips with Beck n Call.
