Bill knows Lake Lanier, and his boat is perfect for the lake. The ride was comfortable even for a windy day and lots of other boat traffic on the lake.  We were on good fish within a half hour and caught about fifteen bass, stripers, and catfish over a four hour trip. It was a good trip and Bill is a friendly guy with lots to talk about. I would absolutely come back and fish with him anytime.

Sunday morning in July, the weather was perfect, and we caught fish faster than we could get the bait on the line. Maybe we got a little lucky. But Captain Bill had us in spots where no other boats were in sight. That’s the local knowledge that’s worth every penny. If the fish are biting, Captain Bill will put you on them. And we were reeling them in right and left. It was simply amazing. Thank you for a wonderful day on the lake.

Easily the best fishing guide on Lake Lanier. Don’t even bother looking into anyone else. Bill is a heck of a guy and works hard getting you on the fish. We landed 8 Striped Bass and a handful of Spotted Bass. It would have been more if my Dad I didn’t goof on about 5 of them! I have a lot to say about our time with Captain Bill. The short version is that Captain Bill was a joy to be around, very knowledgeable about his craft, and was helpful and patient in teaching us every step of the way. Cannot recommend him enough, by far the BEST of several guided fishing experiences I’ve had. For more specifics, please read on:

My brother-in-law and I got to spend an afternoon on Lake Lanier with Captain Bill, and we had such an amazing time. We had at least 20+ bites within the first few hours alone, and Captain Bill was incredibly helpful, fun, patient, and kind. This was our first time fishing for Striper and he taught us everything we needed to know to land a monster.

Towards the middle of our trip we were chatting about our favorite things to cook when all of the sudden BAM! Something huge hit one of the rods, and we knew we had a good fish on. Captain Bill handed my buddy the rod and coached him through the fight; a fight that would take him all the way around the boat for what felt like 15 minutes. When we finally brought the beast to the surface (fish pictured above) Captain Bill was just as excited about the behemoth striper as we were. High fiving, laughing, hootin’ and hollerin’, like a group of old friends.

Took our daughter, who just received a transplant in May, out for a day of fun. FUN was an understatement! Captain Bill made sure that we all had a great time but especially made our daughter feel like the day was just for her. The boat was equipped with everything we needed. Captain Bill was extremely knowledgeable of the area and the fish. Captain Bill took us to 3 locations all had fish biting. We missed some from laughing and enjoying the moment but hey , that’s on us 😀 We left with a beautiful day of memories and even some fish. Captain Bill cleaned our fish and packaged them for us. Highly recommend this trip ! No disappointments at all! If you don’t leave with fish it’s probably because you were distracted by the pure joy and fun being made!
