My first time in Cabo, but not my first time fishing! Caught a real chunky rooster fish, mackerels, and a mahi-mahi that I brought back and ate at a local restaurant that evening.  They prepared it as sashimi and seven different other ways the service was excellent! (La Chatita). 

My grand slam occurred when we hooked up two different marlins on Johnny’s special lures. We were able to see them when they jumped out of the water (one small sized and one was medium) even though we couldn’t get them to the boat.

I had a great time on this trip, Johnny was an excellent communicator and an even better fisherman. He knew exactly where they were going to be and ensured that I had a great trip!

At times he was multitasking between driving the boat and gearing up the poles to be sure we didn’t miss any action. He didn’t turn the motor off the full eight hours! This is a must do if you enjoy fishing.

My son and I first met Johnny at noon in front of La Chitita restaurant. He assisted us with getting our licenses and escorted us to the Panga 22 small fishing boat with Caesar as the captain. There is a sun shade. No toilet. Caesars English was challenging to understand, but he was patient and has over 45 years of fishing experience. He allowed us to fish for whatever we wanted. We spent the first 3.5 hrs of our trip fishing for marlin and hooked one but it got away.

For the remaining 1.5 hrs, we were closer to shore and caught 2 huge rooster fish. It was fun hauling them in.

We ended up have one of them cooked up at La Chatita’s (gave the rest to Caesar).

We had a great time and highly recommend!

I signed up for an afternoon charter.
The reply was not delayed. I was given information and instructions on what to do and were to go.
Met them a little early and they were ready to go before I was. We chose to fish a little for some Marlin, tuna, dolphin. After a couple hours and nothing interested, It was by no lack of trying. These guys were non stop switching bait- switching colors of lures.Just not the right time, so they suggested closer to shore for some Rooster fish.
First spot nothing, next spot, within minutes had one on! I have never caught one of these but my next time I may spend every minute try to hook one. This fish would not give up, but finally made it to my dinner plate! One of the BEST tasting fish and cooked at the restaurant across from the dock.
I can’t say one thing bad about this charter.
I appreciated how they judged the time on when to move on to next spot and were ready at every location with everything rigged up!
Small boat- 2 guests but it was up close watching them tying the bait, instructions on setting the hook, what to look for, i would use these guys again without considering someone else!!

Our Captian was the amazing Johnny Sanchez.
Our boat was a 22ft Panga.  This is a very simple boat and roomy. It also has a nice size sun shade. We are used to this type of vessel and found it to be perfect!
Our experience was beyond our wildest dreams.
We traveled about 4miles off the coast. In the smaller size boats the waves can be a lot for a person but we found them incredible. It was a bit windy and the swells were about 6ft high.
On our trip we saw the following:
Hammer head shark
Several schools of Manta Ray’s
Wild sea lions
The arch
Incredible scenery of the coast line of Cabo
The pacific oceans side of Cabo where the power of the crashing waves is a natural wonder in itself.
And rooster fish.

Now for the fishing.
We are avid fishermen in our native area. Johnny was well versed in fishing ,bait, lures, techniques and everything necessary to give you the best possible chance to catch. He has been doing this since he was a teen and it really shows. We tried,just to kind of see if we could get lucky in regards to Marlin and Mahi, however, we only did a half day trip and in order to have the best chance a full day would have been better. Never fear Johnny was to the rescue and let me tell you,fish were biting one after the next. We caught and released several rooster fish. We lost even more than we caught. Which was a blast. It kept us on high alert the whole time.  The rooster fish are fascinating to watch attack the bait and was an experience to see. 
The overall experience was beyond amazing and we owe it to Johnny. He had a positive attitude, always smiling, a wonderful teacher, by the end of the day both my husband and myself were hooking our own fish and bringing them in. It was so much more than just an arrive and catch boat but and entire experience we will remember for life!

My husband and I did a full day fishing trip for our anniversary with Blue Sea Fishing and it was amazing. The weather was cloudy and the water was choppy and we didn’t expect much. Well we caught two Mahi Mahis, three yellow fin tunas, four skip jacks, almost got a two wahoos and a sail fish but they broke off. We saw a sail fish putting on a show for us jumping and dancing on too of the ocean. Johnny showed us where we could get our fish fillet and vacuum sealed. He recommended la chatita to cook up our catch of the day. Make sure you bring positive vibes and you’ll have a great day of fishing in the ocean. We will definitely book Blue Sea Fishing again.
