We booked a half day trip.  The boat was nice. 26 ft. We said we were interested in catching marlin.  It would have been helpful for them to explain the process to us and that we would be trolling the whole time.  I think that would have been fine if they would have explained this and explained the lures that they were using.  We paid $30 for live bait(10 small fish).  He only put one live bait on one of the 4 lines.  We only used 2 bait the whole trip.  When we got the only fish on the trip on the line, Jose was very demanding.  We felt like he didn’t want us to lose the fish(if you don’t catch anything. You get a refund).  It was a small Bonita.  After that, I felt like he didn’t try as hard.  We were just riding with no explanation.  Maybe he couldn’t speak English as well as we thought.  If fishing for Marlin was not the right thing to fish for, I wish they would have told us.  I think the bigger issue was no engagement. One thing that was really cool is that we saw a whale jump in the distance and we saw a huge pod of dolphins. They were surrounding the boat.  Multiple ones jumped out of the water.  I also think this size boat is better for 2 people also.

Could you have our captain send the pictures he took of us on our trip. Besides that it was a great trip just wished he spoke more English or maybe us spanish.

Had great experience and fun trip. Will do it again
