Captain Anthony (Papa Smurf) and First mate Magic Mike were so amazing. I booked a half day deep sea fishing trip for myself and they went above and beyond. They were so kind,helpful, knowledgeable and encouraging when I was trying to reel in my catches. Both work equally hard in different ways to help you to get the best fish to take home after. Mike was constantly working the rods/rigs/tackle and Anthony was navigating the waters to find the best areas for catching the fish! I got lucky and was fortunate enough to get great weather and snag a couple fish. We caught 2 barracudas (we released after) & 2 Mahi Mahis (my goal catch). Once we got to the dock, Mike cleaned and prepped my fish to take home. I brought some to a local restaurant to cook by recommendation by Captain Anthony! I will definitely book again when I come back in September! Thanks for the memorable experience! FISH ON!

Anthony “Papa Smurf” and Magic Mike were great!!! We did a 3/4 day trip. Even with rough early morning seas they made catches happen. We caught a King Mackerel, Wahoo and albacore tuna, as well as several barracuda. We had 5 people (parents and 3 teens) on board and they took great care of us! The boat is a little small so if you’re prone to get seasick, this may not be the advture youre looking for. Although we started out slow, the guys put us on some fish. We even saw a shark follow our King fish to the boat. Luckily, they helped get it in so it was our dinner, not the sharks! They filleted our catch and helped us get connected with Charlie and Valsta at Charlies Place that cooked our fish to perfection for a fun fresh dinner. A great experience & highly recommend this crew!

I can’t say enough great things about Papa Smurf —everything about the trip was outstanding from start to finish. Anthony and Mike were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made me feel super comfortable, as I booked the charter for just myself!

Not only did I
reel in some impressive fish (3 mahi mahi 3 barracuda), but the overall atmosphere was just incredible. Great people, gorgeous scenery, and a smooth, well-organized trip from beginning to end. Loved the perk to be able to take home the fish you caught!

We went on a slow fishing day. Even though we didn’t catch anything for the first hour or so, the crew was great and made sure we were happy. They have a variety of snack and drink options. Definitely took advantage of the drinks. We did end up catching a barracuda and a king fish. They filleted the king fish for us very quickly once we got back to dock. Very nice guys and we had a great time. 10/10 would highly recommend!!

Captain Anthony and Mate Magic Mike were top notch! They put us on the fish right away and kept us laughing between bites. Both Anthony and Mike were very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had. It was a great morning, landing 2 wahoo, 3 tuna, 2 barracuda, and a kingfish. We also lost 2 more wahoo. Amazing first deep sea experience and we will definitely be back!
