This is my third fishing experience on Lake Gatun, but my first with PanaLakeSportFishing. Captain Luke might be very young, but he sure knows the lake and a lot about fishing. I am not a novice, and I still learned a lot. I have been on several fishing trips back in the U.S., and Luke is as knowledgeable as any one of those guides. Luke has a passion for fishing, and it shows as he wants to ensure his fishing clients have a great experience. It was also really nice that we fished off a pontoon boat, which made a very stable, comfortable, and safe fishing platform to fish from. That helped to make the trip enjoyable and relaxing. I definitely recommend Luke if you want to catch fish.

I have been on many charters in my time as a fisherman. I have never walked away from a fishing trip this impressed with a captain. Not only did Luke make sure that we found fish. He was committed to making sure my kids had fun and my daughter was comfortable, catching fish and netting fish. He helped my son to hook bait and show them some of the nuances of what it means to be a ship captain. This young man knows that lake so very well that we had no choice but to catch fish. If you have the opportunity to go out with Luke, you should do so you will have an amazing time!

Freshwater sportfishing at its best! 37 peacock bass in 6 hrs..Captain Luke knows plenty of hotspots!! Couldnโt keep the fish out of the boatโฆLuke was amazing at guiding us through the process and keeping the bait on our hooks. We only kept a couple fish for supper that night and appreciated that all of the other fish were released back into the lake. We will definitely return for another fun filled day. Thanks Luke!

Luke was a great guide and fishing was OK but his pontoon boat was small and not in good shape. Cost high based on remote access and equipment etc provided
Iโm glad the guiding was helpful and we managed to land some good fish, including an above-average size oneโproving the trip had solid action despite the later start. To clarify for future anglers: My 2015 pontoon is in excellent shape, very comfortable, and consistently praised by previous clients for its stability and condition. The equipment is top-notch (Shimano and okuma rods/reels with premium braid), and remote access is part of the unique experience that allows access to prime spots. Fishing success depends heavily on early mornings for the best bites (as I advised), and a 9 AM start with only ~3 hours on the water naturally limits results compared to the full 6-hour charter. Itโs unfair to attribute that to the boat, gear, or setup when conditions and timing play the biggest roles. My pricing remains competitive for full remote trips, and most clients enjoy rewarding days with great catches. I regret this didnโt fully meet your expectations, but I stand by the quality of my service and equipment. Happy to chat moreโtight lines! Luke
