Captain Devon and first mate Spencer were outstanding. They put us on fish from the beginning and Captain Devon was quick to change from trolling close for Bluefish to going out to a wreck site where we caught lots of large bluefish(more than i could bring home to Ohio). We then transitioned to bottom fishing where we caught Trigger fish and other species that we put in the cooler. We then came in and caught@ 12 Atlantic Sparp-nosed shark that are great eating fish. In total we had over 132lbs of fish to take home. We just had a huge of fried fish for the family and I have 6 huge bags of shark and bluefish to take home. I would truly recommend them. Very personable and we’re great to us, especially are 12 and 13 year old boys. It was well worth the money to watch all 4 of my boys to have a great time fishing. We did a 6 hour charter and I wish we would have done the full day. You can’t go wrong with these guys and that was echoed by the other captains I talked to at the dock before we left in the morning. The boat was great (extremely clean), the people were awesome, and the fishing experience was first rate. It’s was an awesome day on the ocean!. Thank you Captain Devon and Spencer! I will book them the next time we are here.

Our family had the absolute best time. Capt. Devin kept us where the fish were biting. We were reeling them in one after another and at the same time. I took my daughter and son in-law, 2 grandkids 11 year old girl and 17 year old boy. Needless to say there was no cellphone watching. They were smiling ear to ear. Spencer the first mate is worth his weight in gold. He kept everything moving smoothly. I was impressed by his ability to get the fish in the boat so quickly with multiple catches going on at the same time. I really can’t say enough about what I fantastic day we had. I would go again and again.

We had an amazing experience with Poacher Sportfishing Charter in the Outer Banks! We went about 8 miles out and spent 4 hours on the water—it was the perfect amount of time. Captain Devin was professional and clearly knowledgeable, making us feel safe and well taken care of the entire trip. His mate Spencer was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Both made the experience fun, smooth, and memorable. Captain Devin and first mate Spencer were amazing! We booked a 4 hr fishing trip from 11-3 with our 4 kids, us never having been fishing offshore before it went better than I expected. The Captain was kind and took us to some great spots and absolutely made the most of our fishing time. Spencer was great about answering our many questions and patient with 4 kids laying around (heat and sea sickness meds). The boat was clean and comfortable for a family, with a cabin for shade and toilet. We caught 29 ribbon fish, 2 nice size bulldrum and a Spanish Mackerel. I highly recommend you try them out for your fishing needs, you will not be disappointed!!

As an experienced angler, I was so pleased with how the day went. The boat is spacious, clean, and fast. Captain Devin is an old salt who has been doing this a long time…30+ years! 1st Mate Spencer is an outdoorsman who is patient and instructive and knows exactly how to ensure you have fun. We landed many large Spanish and False Albacore within the first hour of the day. We continued to catch fish for most of the 6-hour trip, including some time landing Trigger fish and Sea Bass on the wreck of an old Coast Guard Cutter.
