Not every day is a gang buster after all this is fishing. However, I am happy to say the crew fulfilled my wish list of getting my son his first Marlin . We were out the day before and were getting hit all day but yesterday not so much. I cannot say that reflects on the crew they were professional and accommodating and that’s all you can hope for when your fishing.

Second day out on Blue Tail, again the Captain and Deckie worked hard switching lures and going wide looking for the big one. My buddy Alan’s first Marlin struck and with a good crew he landed a 150 plus beauty. Sadly it took the lure to deep so we couldn’t release but we honoured it at Pochos restaurant that night. Thanks guys on Blue Tail, your the best.

Amazing captain and another crew member. Very proactive - made all the right choices to make the catch but let us pull it (was hard and long haha), super polite. Full blown fishing experience along whales watching, sea lions etc. We caught a massive 120kg stripped marlin. (Another one we have released). Would advice to anyone in a heart beat!

Had a quick run with the blue tail today. Weather was great and started with light tackle. Brought along my 8 and 12 year old. The captain and mate made them feel right a home, taught them what how to fish with live bait and reel in the monster rooster fish we caught (3). The biggest fish they ever caught and they had a blast. We didn’t get anything while trolling but saw another boat fighting/losing a marlin. Oh well, we will get the marlin next time. Had a great time and highly recommend.

Excellent crew. Very professional. Fishing was slow. But we caught more than most boats. The alternator froze on the motor. . We were dead in the water for 2 hours in the morning ( which are frequently better than afternoon). This was not the crew’s fault. They joyfully added 2 hours in the afternoon and tried really hard to catch fish.
