Arranged a 10 hour Tuna Charter several weeks ago and had to change day due to weather conditions.it was quite a long journey out to where the Tuna were but more than worth it as we caught 5 large yellow fin tuna in the afternoon.They have great equipment including stand up harnesses..
Donovan, the Captain,is an experienced fisherman but great fun to fish with.The mate Andre was equally friendly and helpful with lots of interesting fishing tales.
Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to catch yellow fin or indeed an inshore trip maybe for the family.

Ocean Life Fishing Charters are fantastic:  total professionals who really know their stuff - and enjoy their work.  We asked for yellow tails and they took us to a wide variety of places to seek them out.  In the end we didn’t find them - but we still managed to catch and release around 30 good sized and wide variety of fish and sharks.  We saw dolphins and two whales.  And then ended the day in the middle of a football field sized mackerel and sardine run and caught a dozen 35 inch, 8 - 12 pound plus black tunas in a matter of minutes.  So exciting!  There were two of us fishing - one very experienced and one (me!) a total beginner and both of us loved every minute.  We went home with a beautifully filleted sashimi grade fish for dinner - and lots of admiration from friends and family.  Could not have asked for a better experience - and strongly recommend you giving them a try too.  Real value for money.  Really experienced and professional.  And a lot of fun.

Myself and 14 year old son had an amazing experience. Great communication before hand with a friendly welcome.
Due to weather conditions we went out an hour earlier, at 6am, which was great as we got to see the sun rise and loads of baboons on the streets of Simons Town.
Donavan told us a bit of history about the local area on the way to the first fishing ground and we were fortunate to see a humpback whale breach just along side the boat.
We caught 17 yellow tail altogether so couldn’t ask for more. What an experience, especially when you get a big one on the spinning rod.
Grant was also great and knowledgeable and helped my son land a few big ones showing technique but not taking over.
Im hoping to go back one day and try for the Tuna.

We had an awesome trip with Captain Donavan and Grant. Great chaps with plenty of stories which made the time out at sea extremely enjoyable. They are both top class fishermen and are very knowledgeable and know the area very well.
Our only regret was that we didn’t go out for a full day trip with them both.

I can’t compliment this outfit enough. Capt. Donovan and First Mate Grant not only put my family and I onto the fish, but he added historical facts about the area all along the way.  They did in one trip what I have been trying to do for the past 4 years which is to get my now 9 year old son enthusiastic about fishing. Thank you,thank you, thank you! What a trip! When you have a Captain and Mate that get just as excited as you to get on the fish, then you have picked the right outfit to charter. I hope to make it back soon!
