Hardly any fish, but still a great time and the crew worked hard

I highly recommend Pescado Adventures for a charter service out of Puerto Aventuras. Captain Leo, and deckhands Sunny and Alejandro, worked very hard to help us fulfill our goal of catching billfish. For four and a half hours, we trolled for the big game while the hands constantly cleared sargassum from the lines and rebaited. When we felt like we were running out of time (6 hour trip), we turned to rock fish. Even then, the fish weren't biting much. Leo moved the boat a few times to find fish. Finally, we caught a large snapper and some smaller jacks. It was a disappointing day from the perspective of catching fish, but the boat and the crew were really great. Oh, and Roger was fantastic at communicating before the trip and accomodating our date change requests (bad weather made us move our date 3 times).

    Amazing trip!

    4 hours - Half Day Trip • 9 adults

    We had a family trip of 10 people. My mom, brother, 2 nephews, and my 4 kids were all first timers for offshore fishing. The crew was ready and organized when we got there 15 minutes early. We got on the boat and took off immediately. Started fishing as soon as we were in to open water and hooked up to the first fish(barracuda) before our official start time of 7:00 am. We caught in total 10 mahi mahi, and the one barracuda. Everyone who wanted to catch a fish, caught at least one. Crew cut up one of our mahi’s and made fresh ceviche along with some guacamole. Only bad thing about the trip was I think it may have ruined all those first timers to expect to catch that many fish every time they go out now! Standards are set high! Really appreciate the memories that were made! We’ll definitely book with them next time we go back.

    Wow, Brad — 10 Mahi Mahi and a barracuda on a first offshore trip for most of the group is an incredible day! Sounds like our crew got everyone dialed in fast, and fresh ceviche and guac to finish it off is the perfect way to celebrate a catch like that.     Fabulous afternoon with the kids fishing

    4 hours - Half Day Trip - 2:00 PM • 4 adults

    We had a fabulous trip with our two kids aged 16 and 12. We choose to fish for smaller fish rather than trawl for the large ones as this was more enjoyable for the kids. Lots of fish were caught including yellow tail snapper and a trigger fish. The trip was especially memorable for our daughter who caught a mackeral which was half eaten by a barracuda as she reeled it in. The crew were phenomenal- and prepared the most delicious ceviche, sashimi and guacamole while we swam in the shallow waters! kids said it was the best trip ever. highly recommended

    we had a womdetful 4 hour fishing trip

    4 hours - Half Day Trip - 12:00 PM • 9 adults • 3 children

    We had a wonderful fishing trip with Pescado Adventures. The crew were great and we soon caught 4 mahimahi. We were about to head off to the beach when we suddenly hooked something large. It was an 85 lb Marlin and what an effort to bring it in. A quick photo and we released him. that made our day! The crew served up delicious crevice, guacamole and a lovely fruit platter for lunch. We then headed off to a lovely beach for a swim and went home with our mahimahi for supper. I thoroughly recommend this company.

    fantastic trip!

    6 hours - 3/4 Day Trip • 8 adults

    Group of 8 with just two with casual fishing experience. Rodger was extremely responsive and helpful with pre-booking questions and Leo and crew were patient, supportive and a pleasure during our 6 hr trip. caught about 12 yellow fin snapper and enjoyed freshly made ceviche on the boat. trolled about 1.5 hrs right from the start (no luck) and bottom fished a bit over 3 hrs. stopped to have lunch with option to swim before heading back. Would highly recommend and book again!

    Great time out on the water

    4 hours - Half Day Trip - 2:00 PM • 4 adults • 1 child

    Took my wife and two sons 12 and 16. Went for sailfish but unfortunately nothing was biting that say. The trip was great anyway - captain and crew took us to a great swimming location and let the kids jump off the side which more than made up for it. They also made us fresh guac and chips with olenty of cold drinks. Great trip - would book again.
