Picked up from the hotel and taken to the marina. Trolling rods were deployed ‘just in case’ - tuna season hasnt started yet. 4 hours bottom fishing produced plenty of bites, mainly small puffer fish but also mouse fish, red mullet, perch, rabbit fish (a bigger puffer) and a nicholas fish. Pickup was right on tine, the captain and mate were great, the boat clean, refreshments provided. No tuna or big game fish this time, but that was to be expected, you have to be really lucky for something like that on the first trip out. Once the tuna run finished we were taken to various spots for puffer and mouse fish and there was a lot of activity, perfect for children to enjoy fishing and especially so if they’re old enough to fish on their own.
