We booked this fishing trip on a whim when we were visiting Vermont and we are so happy we did! From the start, communication was great. Captain Thorny and Mate Sean worked their tails off to provide a great, successful Salmon and Lake Trout trip for this Lake Champlain rookie from NJ.  They explained the fishery, hydrogeography, and local lure. I was Impressed to find out that Capt gives back: participates in fisheries research programs (I got to fill out my own Salmon catch data form), takes out Wounded Warriors, challenged fishermen, and had a Make a Wish youngster. We had the best time on the CathyJean with Captain Rob & Sean. Super knowledgeable, very nice, and we caught a bunch of big fish! The lake is spectacular, too.

Awesome experience fishing with the fellas and landed a variety of species from the lake. They’re very flexible and will give 110% to accommodate requests and make sure the experience is pleasant. Best part, it’s a short jaunt to the fishing grounds unlike saltwater where it could be more than an hour, severely eating up fishing time. Dont hesitate to book with these guys, it’s a must do when visiting the Burlington Area!
