After a short ride we came to the spot. After the lures find the way down we immediately got fish contact. And this kept on for the next few hours. Many fish in good size find they way into the boat and out. In total we catched 6 different species. Captain and crew work hand in hand and make sure you stay satisfied the whole trip. Perfect day on the water.
J’ai passé une excellente matinée avec Pedro et Dino ! J’ai auparavant fais plein de sortie de pêche dans différents pays mais cette sortie était vraiment spécial. Ils nous ont beaucoup informé sur la pêche local et les poissons de saisons afin de pêcher le plus possible. Ils étaient très à l’écoute et nous avons pu bien discuter ce qui rend la journée encore plus sympathique. Ils ont vraiment fait de leur mieux pour nous et nous les remercions 👍🏼👍🏼 Je recommande 1000x les yeux fermés
Boat fits four, and there were four of us on my trip. We each caught 1-2 fish, but they can’t filet the fish for you (in Funchal harbor). So bring your own bag and carry a fish home or leave it at the dock. The day started which a little bit of light trolling (where I caught a Skip Jack), and then bottom fishing at about 100-120 meters, so be prepared to reel a lot. The crew knows the spots and the baits that work - and this matters. Water and beer available. It is also a nice way to hang with a few other like minded tourists who want to fish a bit when in Madeira.
Firstly i want to give a big shout out to Pedro and Dino who are two really friendly and genuinely cool dudes that make the whole fishing experience super fun and informative by answering any questions you may have on the trip. The trip itself was really focused on tracking down the fish through watching currents and monitoring the fish finder instead of endless trolling just to catch one or two fish like most big game charters. The smaller boat and lighter setups allowed for a very dynamic fishing approach throughout the day and resulted in us catching a barracuda, amberjack, tuna, hogfish and other smaller reef fish like grouper. Additionally the crew provided drinks, snacks and a great environment to joke around and have a good time. Felt like a morning on the water with some friends. Will definitely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a good charter on Madeira.
If you’re looking for a great time on the water, look no further than Captain Pedro. We went out for a 4-hour trolling session and honestly had a blast from start to finish. Pedro is a legend—super chill, professional, and clearly knows these waters like the back of his hand. Even though the fish weren't feeling particularly hungry that day (we only managed to land one small barracuda), it wasn't for lack of effort. Pedro was determined to get us a big one! He even let us stay out for an extra hour free of charge just to give us the best possible chance. The boat had a great vibe, the equipment was top-notch, and the conversation was even better. Sometimes fishing is about more than just the catch; it’s about the experience and the company, and Pedro made sure we had a 10/10 day.
Very nice Trip, Pedro and Dino . They were perfectly in time, good prepared and had some good ideas about which kind of fishing will be the most successful in the situation. we made trolling and had the first bite right after the harbour. Mahi Mahi escaped. at the end, we had 8 bites and 5 landed. Barracuda, 2x Mahi Mahi, Bonito, Swordfish. Pedro and Dino explained a lot, speak good english. Top trip with sunset at the end.
