We had an incredible day King Salmon fishing on the Delta with Captain Doug McArthur of Team Mc Fishing Guide Service. My coworker and I both landed 17-pound King Salmon - this was my very first salmon catch ever, and it's an experience I won't forget! Captain Doug's passion for what he does is obvious from the moment you step on the boat. He was determined and wouldn't stop until we both landed our fish. Along the way, I learned so much about King Salmon fishing techniques on the Delta - he's clearly knowledgeable and loves sharing that with his clients. Capt Doug was determined to get us into feeding fish! We trolled, jigged and anchored! He was willing to do what was needed without forcing a predetermined method. I finished the day with 7 stripers and 4 catfish!! Thankyou Doug for guiding me to my completion of catching a fish in all 50 states! Catching a striper in the delta has been a goal for a while now. Thank you for choosing me to complete this quest of yours. It didn't feel like work to me at all, it was like fishing with an old friend even though we have never met before. This is the reason I like taking people fishing, to enjoy the time on the water with good people, creating memories to last a lifetime. Hopefully you make it back to California for another trip one day, and it's not 102° with 74° water temps, lol. But as my motto goes, Make it happen Captain! Captain Doug was an awesome host, great with my 10 year old son! Bites were hard to come by but Captain made sure my son got his first Salmon on his birthday. Boat was awesome, gear was great and he even fileted the catch for us! Thank you Captain Doug for the great day on the water.

I consider myself a knowledgeable and experienced angler as I have spent most of my life enjoying a variety of fishing. From the lakes and streams of the Rockys and Sierra Nevadas targeting native species of trout, flipping lures in Gold County ponds in hopes to fight a springtime largemouth bass or Crappie, to trolling in the ocean for king salmon. I know my way around a rod and reel to say the least. In my travels I have come in contact with only a few that see the outdoors through a similar lens as I. Living in the age of technology, it is easy to get sucked into the opinions of others and make the sport so competitive that it has become more of a status symbol and an opportunity to sell product than enjoying a nice day on the water. I started the day fishing with a man with 2 young boys I had never met and left the dock as friends. I learned some new tricks to make me more successful while targeting stripers and restored my hope that there are a few others still around that enjoy the entire experience of a good day on the water, and not just when the reel is screaming with a hog on the other end of the line, which in fact were did our fair share of that as well. Capt. McArthur thank you for getting me on board at the last minute and showing us all a great day. Thank you for showing the next generation of sportsman what it's really all about. I would highly recommend booking a trip!

Had an awesome experience with Team Mc Fishing. From start to finish the trip was professional, well-organized, and a blast.
