Epic Experience with Jimbo and the Hardest Working First Mate on the Island

What an absolutely incredible day! This was a first-time fishing charter for my dad and my two sons, and it could not have been more perfect. Captain Jimbo and his first mate were phenomenal—not only were they incredibly knowledgeable and encouraging with the boys, but they clearly knew exactly where to go to find the fish. Seeing the excitement on my family's faces as they hooked into some real action was priceless. The crew’s energy was infectious, and they worked tirelessly to ensure we had a successful trip. We would absolutely recommend this charter to anyone looking for a top-tier experience in Kona. Pro-tip for future guests: Make sure you have a plan and check in with the captain regarding the plan for cleaning and keeping fish, as well as discussing any catch-and-release preferences you might have. We have never had much luck fishing and didn’t think that far ahead. We can't wait to get back out there with them. Thanks for the memories!

    BIG Ahi and some Aku

    6 Hour Trip • 3 adults

    Jim and Sawyer know the drill. Jim ran the boat working the current seams and FAD buoys. Sawyer taught us how to fight fish properly, explained the different techniques we used, the fisheries biology, and Hawaiian history. They worked really hard changing lines, lures, and spots until the fish were dialed in! We caught some scad for bait and a couple skip jack tunas. Then we got a really nice yellowfin tuna trolling shortly after moonset! It was a blast being on the calm Kona waters. We saw lots of dolphins, a mega yacht, nice scenery, and the beautiful clear pacific blue water. The Ahi tuna fight and fresh lilikoʻi were awesome!

    We had a once in a lifetime experience!

    4 Hour Trip - 2:30 PM • 6 adults

    We went deep sea fishing for my wife’s birthday hoping to catch something big! We found this boat and ended up absolutely loving it. We also felt like it was a good deal for what you get. The crew was super knowledgeable, experienced, helpful, great at teaching and very professional. We ended up catching some big tuna and had a great time. We were able to take a few smaller fish home to cook as well that they cut up for us. We seriously had a once in a lifetime experience and I mean that because I am not the type of person to write reviews. Definitely consider this charter if you are in Kona!

    Amazing Trip w/ a grand finale

    4 Hour Trip - 12:30 PM • 2 adults

    Capt. Jim and Tevin were awesome. They asked what we were hoping for and they more than delivered. Everyone in our family of 4 was successful catching multiple fish (tuna) through careful consideration of where fishing was hot and following the feeding patterns of birds/dolphins. As we were trawling on the way back to the harbor a big tuna caught a grip and our 11 year old went to work in the fighting chair. After an hour long fight an ahi tuna over 100 lbs was successfully loaded on the deck. After we pulled into the harbor, Tevin carefully sliced up some fillets for us to take over to Panchos for them to cook us a delicious tuna mexican style. We had an unreal experience and are extremely appreciative of the attentiveness that the crew provided.

    Trip of a Lifetime!

    10 Hour Trip — Full Experience • 2 adults • 1 child

    I took my 11 year old son out on the 10 hour trip and we were not disappointed. We left the harbor about 5:30 AM and the bite got hot after a couple of hours. We hooked up on multiple striped marlin and we got to fight and land a pair simultaneously. We also had multiple "double hookups" on tuna throughout the day. We ended up landing two striped marlin, three yellowfin tuna, two skipjack tuna and some rainbow runners. The crew was fantastic and kept us on the fish. They cleaned some of the catch for us back at the dock and we ate like kings for the rest of time on the Big Island. You won't regret booking with Konadice!!!

    Going the Extra mile!

    6 Hour Trip • 2 adults

    Captain and Crew was exeptional,we knew it was tough out on the water with very few bites,Capt Jim and his crew tried everything to get us on fish even going as far as taking us out longer than we were supposed to,Capt Jim wanted to go check out a spot were they catch alot of Mahi Mahi,we got there dropped down livebait and nothing,time is running out bit that didnt stop them we trolled back on the way and he came down and told me there is good marlin arounds and next moment its on reel running marlin jumping,Cpt Jim did a great job to hunt it down and keep me in the fight. Its NOT just a JOB or another day out for Capt Jim Its his PASSION!Recomend this trip for anyone willing to roll the Dice with Konadice!

    that was an ideal subset trip. beibg patient with a posativeattirudegoes a lobg wats. i cant pick and choose who the boat likes but she has a mibd of her own. for however much time your on the water dont ever get down stay posatice and itll happen. you guys were great. i guess for thos that dont understand that i should start bringing a bixycke pump. just incase you start to get all deflated . pump some faith in you 😂😂😂😂 you guys were awesome.
