Captain Jose was friendly and knew the area. The fishing area is actually a national park and while fishing you come across underground springs and wildlife in the mangroves. Captain puts you on fish and teaches you about the wildlife. The water is similar to the Everglades in Florida being very clear and moving because of tides and freshwater mixing.

Mauricio took me on a great trip through the mangroves of the lagoon hunting tarpon and other species. Love the sight fishing w light spin casting gear. Transitioned to live bait and found snook, snapper, and barracuda a great four trip w great gear and great guide. Would definitely book again.

First time in cancun and this fishing trip was a great experience. Two on the boat and three species of fish caught. Kept well informed when booking the trip and our guide put us in the right spots. Would definitely take another trip out on my next visit to cancun.
