Captain John exceeded expectation!! I was uncomfortable making our way to the spot in the ocean because of dense fog, Captain John turned around and we fished in the river until the fog burned off. We caught a ton of fish, my son caught over 100 pollack and mackerel. That made his day and we caught a some cod and a striper when they weren’t really suppose to be biting (it’s a bit early for them). Overall great day on the water!

My first trip out for Stripers and with the change in the weather from bright clear sun I was a touch concerned.

Captain John gave a warm welcome aboard his immaculate and well equipped boat.  We were shortly into some bait that took a little working for. 

Off to the first mark, worked it for around 40 minutes and moved on to our second mark.

I was into an excellent specimen within 20 minutes and the day went on to get better, with our eventually bagging striper, cod a spotted trout and a pollack.

Captain John is a superb knowledgeable and friendly guide.  It was an excellent day made all the better by his in-depth experience of the area and habits of the fish.

I’ve got my second slot booked.  It’s a fantastic day out.
