WOW! 🤩🤩 Captain Bob and 1st mate Kevin were amazing! This was our families first time being on a boat and to Lake Michigan. Our son who is 9 had the best time of his life. They really made this day memorable. We caught 10 out of 15 fish and to top it off we hit the GRAND SLAM! We caught all 5 species in our afternoon trip, bringing home lots of fish!

If you’re looking for a charter I highly recommed this one. Captain Bob and 1st mate Kevin are very knowledgable and work very hard to get the fish. Thanks for the memories and looking forward to another trip with you soon!

We went out with Capt Kevin and Steve and these two guys were AMAZING! They did anything and everything to get fish on the line! We were a group on non-smokers and it was great to have a Capt. & 1st mate not chain smoking which we’ve experienced before. I can’t say enough good things about the trip, we had 4 of us and we caught 9 fish! Some monster trout and a salmon too! They worked the waters figured out what worked for that day and made got fish on the line. They were great people and handle the boat and us crew well and with respect!  My only suggestion would be to tip in person, we tipped electronically cause it prompted me to (which was fine) but the experience we had I really wish I would’ve handed them cash to really say thank you!  Thanks Kevin & Steve WE WILL BE BACK!

Captain Kevin and 1st mate Glenn were absolutely fantastic.  This was the 1st time we have been on Lake Michigan with the boys and didn’t know what to expect.  We could not have asked for a better experience.  The boys landed 21 of 22 hooked fish and we brought home a ton of salmon and trout!

We were setup with Capt Kevin and First Mate Steve for our trip (Capt Bob is the owner and your main contact). We’re very inexperienced anglers and had never being trolling on the Lake before. Kevin was a very experienced fisherman and definitely was quick to set out the rods and know when the fishing were biting. He is a very passionate fishermen. We caught 7 fish on our half day (2 Coho, 1 King, 4 trout).  They made it very easy to enjoy the day and really put in the effort to find as many fish as possible. I’d highly recommend this charter for any experienced or novice angler.

We spent the day fishing with Maykin Baykin Charters out of South Haven, Michigan, with Captain Bob and First Mate Kevin leading the way. While the fish had other plans—only one small coho salmon made it aboard—the crew didn’t let that slow them down. Bob and Kevin worked tirelessly trying to find an active bite, adjusting tactics and staying upbeat the whole time.

Their knowledge, effort, and friendly attitude made for a positive experience overall. Some days the fish just don’t cooperate, but these guys gave it their all—and that’s what matters. We’d definitely recommend Maykin Baykin Charters to anyone looking for a well-run trip with a hardworking crew.
