  we had to reschedule and it was done smoothly. justin rang the day before and suggested half day as afternoon was not looking good weather wise. je got us on fish syraight away. fishing iverall was wuiet but we all got a catch and chatting with Justin was a great way to pass time snyway.

  Full Day Trip on June 10, 2026 • 3 adults

  Justin has his finger right on the pulse of the local fishery! From his first net cast for 100+ live prawns , to his precise anchoring to get our baits right over the several wrecks he regularly fishes. He was in contact with other captains, who had a fish or two, but we clearly had the best day with 10 fish, and four species. With the highlight being a couple of Barramundi, one landed and one leaping to an early exit! Justin is the captain you want to fish with!!

  Great Estuary Guide

  Full Day Trip on November 9, 2024 • 2 adults

  Great day on the water in a great boat, excellent gear, with top notch guide. A quiet Saturday for bites at the mid/end of a dry spell for FNQ when bait fish numbers are low and prawns scarce, but we managed to pick up a few smaller targeted Fingermarks. The surprise however was the Barra and Queenfish that stole the days crown, making for a memorable day on the water. Thx Justin, your knowledge of the local waterways was invaluable to a great day out. 😉🍻

  Fishing with Justin

  Full Day Trip on April 21, 2024 • 3 adults

  Justin called ahead of the trip to say that fishing was slow. We agreed to shorten our booking to half a day. Justin was very professional and was a great host. Each of our party of three caught small fish. It was a pleasant half day on the water. Justin was a great conversationalist.

  Ahoy. Fish-a-plenty 🎣

  Captain Justin, at all times was professional and accommodating of all my fishing needs. So much so, I landed some of the best estuary gamefish of my fishing career. All in the near reaches of the Cairns estuary river system. He made it so easy for me to land the big one. I only wish I could carry CJ in my back pocket every time I go fishing.
