  Great First Trip

  4 Hour Trip – early bird bottom - 11:00 AM on September 9, 2026 • 6 adults • 4 children

  We had 4 kids 8 - 13 that had never been ocean fishing. We told the Captain that we wanted to just catch fish. We caught over 40 fish of various types. He matched the skill set for each person as to what they were capable of catching. The Captain and his helper made sure that there was bait on the hooks and removed fish that were caught. The Captain was friendly, knowledgeable and likes kids. For myself and the kids I would thank Captain Wayne for a great time.

  Great Trip with Great Csptain

  5 Hour Trip – Trolling/Bottom (PM) on July 19, 2026 • 5 adults

  Had 3 teenage girls and a 9 yr old. Captain Wayde was awesome with the kids. I offered to help and he let me to an extent but still took care of me as well. We got some B-Liners for the box and I told him I wanted a grouper. He move locations and said here's your grouper. Sure enough, they were there. Caught several and a bonus Amberjack. Finished with a storm hitting us as we were headed in. Storm was pretty bad but Captain Wayde was on top of it. We felt safe the whole time. He had a great personality and treated my kids really good. I'd highly recommend Captain Wade and Unorthadox Charters to anyone wanting to get out on the water and have a great time.

  Great for kids, or anyone just wanting to stay close and still catch fish

  3 Hour Trip – early bird 6 am on June 16, 2026 • 5 adults • 1 child

  Captain Wade was great! Super quick in responding to messages, easy guy to talk to and a killer one man crew, highly personable! We did the 3 hour early morning trip to see how my boy would like it (first fishing trip) and he absolutely loved it cause Captain Wade put us on fish pretty dang quick and the bean bag chairs was a nice additon for a comfy ride for kids (or anyone for that matter!) Aside from my son, we initially had 4 adults and made a last minute change literally 12 hours prior to the trip and Wade responded quick when I asked if it was ok.. worked our great as the boat was good for 6. All 6 of us pulled in multiple fish and had a great day! Book with Unorthodox Charters if you got kids or if you just want some fresh dinner on the line!

  Early Father’s Day present I won’t ever forget!

  3 Hour Trip – Sharks (PM) (copy) on June 15, 2026 • 5 adults • 3 children

  Wayde has the patience of a saint. I have three boys (7,9,and 12). They warmed up to him quick and we were all joking and having a good time. Each of them caught a fish (two black tip sharks and a red snapper.) I caught a four and half foot hammerhead! We saw dolphins, a sea snake, and various crabs. Wayde even caught a big crab when he was checking the bait. He has a lot of knowledge about the area and the wildlife. He put bean bags up front on his center console boat which were a life saver because near the end I got to be a little sea sick and could lie down to shrug it off. If we come back to the Emerald coast next year I will try to book him first!

  Awesome trip exceeded our expectations

  3 Hour Trip – fishing 101 (9:30AM) on July 1, 2026 • 5 adults

  The captain was a nice guy, very knowledgeable ,and was determined to put us on fish. we had originally booked a shorter trip but I messaged the captain prior to the trip with what we wanted to catch. He recommended a slightly longer trip to accomplish what we wanted to do and very glad we did go with the longer package. We go out again here in Panama City Beach we will be looking to book with him again. We will be recommending anyone we know to book with Unorthodox Charters
