Despite not catching a fish, I had a great time. As a hunter and lifelong fisherman, I know that every trip brings the chance of getting skunked. Bob was constantly adjusting the lines and fighting to get one hooked, but the beautiful weather countered his efforts. Mid may isnt prestine for salmon, as their more active in late june and july. we were hoping for a drop in barometric pressure, but it never came.
Bob and i had some awesome conversations while we fished and my favorite part of the trip was learning the ropes. I asked a ton of questions about the equipment, the depth of the lures, what the lures are doing underwater, the speed we trolled at, how to target salmon va trout, and Bob was happy and excited to teach me. this was an A+ experience — even without a fish being caught and i will be coming back to fish with Bob one on one once again ASAP because I know our luck will shift on the next adventure. if youre a real fisherman, you know that there is so much more to fishing than just reeling one in. Bob delivered on all of those other aspects that led me to fall in love with the sport, and based on his other reviews, my lack of catching is clearly uncommon for his clients!
