Like most tourists, we were worried we wouldnt catch anything, but he’s an excellent (bilingual) Captain and put us on several large Tuna right from the start. If you’re looking for a private charter in a small group setting without spending crazy money or hours researching look no further! Boats around us werent catching fish and we were! If you’re looking for more than just catching fish he went above and beyond in explaining the local fishery, made sure everyone stayed dry in windy weather, gave us a little extra time on the boat, cleaned our fish, and dropped us off closer to our AirBNB than we originally were supposed to after finding out we walked. Good human putting you on good fish…what more can you ask for?!

He gave us a call to go earlier than the scheduled 0830 start. We agreed and were very glad for it. We looked out for the birds diving and sure enough got hooked up as soon as we got out there. There were no other boats around! We caught another one when another boat showed up. Immediately thereafter we caught the third fish. He asked if we wanted to fish more even though we had come to our allotted time. What a Captain! We ended up giving him one of our 3 fish. Would recommend CPT Joan any time!
