they were great. good comunication before we arrived, got us on fish quick. the group pulled in rock fish, flounders, and halibut. 1 being over limit size at 41” and the rest keepers. wish are cruise ship was in port longer for a full day of fishing. a combo trip salmon/halibut would of been perfict. thanks for the memories.
Trip Crew Boat Scenery & Whales Outstanding ! My concerns are this Pick Up was to be at 8am but delayed till 830 am Then another 30+ minutes to the dock makes that 9 am As always the short safety briefing then we were off 915 am In essence this 4 hour trip was less than that Where I come from - 4 hour trip is 4 hour on the water unless the limit is achieved earlier Landed the One and One Is Better Than None
Tim was our Captain. On our way to fishing he pointed out humpback whales. We caught a lot of flounder to start, but he moved us to catch halibut. The equipment on board was new and ready to go. He even had a left-handed rod set up, and rod holders. On the way back we were able to see a couple pods of orcas. The only negative was we started 30 minutes late due to cruise ship people being delayed, and couldn't stay out later to make up that time due to afternoon bookings.
Our trip was beyond expectations,we had an amazing fun time, we loved that the Captain was very easy to talk to , personal and fun. He had Vast knowledge of the area and worked hard to get us on our fish and made sure we was successful!!!! Caught Big halibut, Alaska Cod , and arrow tooth Flounder , we was very happy and will be doing this trip again thank you Captain Cam and Juneau Fishing Charters , great job , thank u J&A from Wyoming
Me and my brother had our second and final trip for salmon and it was a blast . I caught two kings and two pinks he ended up catching 1 after losing 3 lol , Cameron our captain and Austin our deckhand-his last day on board were super fun lots of laughs ! Very enjoyable experience highly recommend the salmon charter , if we return to juneau we will definitely be booking again ..
