Highly recomend Captain Kevin! We had a great time, caught fish, and really enjoyed our time with Captain Kevin. We will definitely be booking with him again soon.
If you’re thinking about booking a striper guide trip, stop thinking and just do it! This was hands-down one of the most fun fishing trips I’ve ever been on. Kevin and his deckhand, Ryan were knowledgeable, patient, and had great sense of humor. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or someone who thinks a fishing reel is a new exercise machine, you’ll feel right at home. The fish were not as active today and that was common for alot of people on the lake. They were definitely there, just not hungry. Somedays you just cant get them like you want them. We had so many laughs and brought home some striper to cook. Hope to book with Mr. Cates again in the future.
Our Captain was knowledgeable and professional. We had very windy weather (gusts of 30 mph) but Kevin changed plans to find us a place with fish and avoiding the larger swells. He found us places closer to the shore as the tree line worked as a wind break so we were not constantly in the wind. I highly recommend Captain Kevin.
First time fishing guide trip. Boat was roomy and comfortable, guide was experienced, helpful and made the trip super enjoyable. We caught about 12 fish all together but we also didn't pick the best time for optimal fishing so be sure to research best time frame. Overall, we would highly recommend !!!
My son and had a great time fishing with Capt Kevin. Everything was ready and we departed immediately for a great day of fishing. He does it all from baiting, unhooking the fish and cleaning them at the end of the. He has a nice, spacious boat as well. Highly recommend!
We caught stripper and some catfish. Overall an awesome experience. I brought my sons who had never fished with a guide before and they really enjoyed it! I’m looking forward to booking another trip with Kevin later this year!
