We set out to catch bluefin tuna, and the day started very promisingly. The conditions looked great until we encountered a pod of orcas that were clearly hunting tuna as well. Seeing them so close to the boat was an incredible experience in itself. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch any fish that day, but the captain and crew were fantastic and took great care of us throughout the trip. Bruno, the captain, is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and he was happy to share his insights about fishing and marine life along the Algarve coastline. He never gave up and kept working hard until the very end, constantly searching for fish. Overall, it was a fantastic day on the water, and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks again!
yes... those Orcas toke our fish away.... but we Will go back and get you a Giant Bluefin, just keep training the weigths innthe Gym...and wait for my call.... thanks for everything... From out team.. all the best and see you soon

Had an awesome experience with Mandrake Charters yesterday . Started out with non-stop action on Mahi a few miles out and after loading the box headed out 10-12 miles for White Marlin. After a couple hrs of fish just having a look at our teaser spread we found the feeding birds and had Two double hook ups in a row! We landed 3 of the 4 on the double ups and had multiple more strikes landing one more awesome fish estimated at 130lbs. Truly a dream trip out of Tariva , the crew comprised of family and friends on the Mandrake was a joy to spend the day with and i will never forget the experience of a lifetime . Regards, Mike Good

First we booked with Bruno but he sent another captin and crew. The fish we’re not bitting and that happens. I’ve been on a lot of fishing trips. But the crew didn’t bother changing on thing on an 8 hour trip. The same lures, same speed, the same spot. We were marking fish and lots of bait fish in the area. I was unimpressed with there ability to adapt or try for a different species. We asked multiple times and they were uninterested. I would not recommend them.
hi.... i tried to manage all expectations for the beggining of each Seasson..... because this is fishing!! but just the Next days and all work out very good, same lures, same speed and seme marks, and also when the fisherman were loosing there hope.... BAAAAMMMMM....... DOUBLE STRIKE... Bluefin tuna.... And that is why we are the Champions, we stick to the plan, belive in the knoalage and the skills.... and there you have it.... fisrt fish of the Seasson, earlyer fish ever in the Seasson.... but we Will do better Next time .. thanks and see you Next time ...
What an incredible experience with the Mandrake Fishing team! The crew was professional, friendly, and made the whole trip unforgettable. We were lucky enough to catch 4 marlins – truly the adventure of a lifetime. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the ultimate fishing experience!
