Chris cleary knows what he’s doing and it shows! We booked a 5:30 am charter and we already had fish in the darkness before sunrise. He was moving nonstop and on top of everthing. Didn’t take long to catch our limit. We caught steelhead, king salmon and lake trout and have more meat than I handle! Don’t hesitate and book a charter with Chris. You won’t regret it!
Day started out kind of iffy, weather was looking grim. But Chris kept an eye on the weather, and after a slightly delayed start, skies cleared, and it was a beautiful day. Chris and Jeff are wonderful hosts, very knowledgable, and great company. Their presence alone made for a great time. We caught our fill of Lakers, Coho and Kings. We went home a little early because we caught enough and didn't want to kill any more fish. After we got back to our place, we cooked up a great lake trout dinner based on a recipe from Chris and Jeff. Wonderful day all around. And we left some fish for the rest of you!
I want to thank Chris and Jeff for giving our group a wonderful experience for fishing before the end of the season. We were able to catch more than enough fish for everyone! I would 10/10 recommend going again on a trip with these guys. They were very friendly, made us comfortable on the boat and teached us a lot of pointers on fishing. We booked the 7-hour morning charter and had a great time! The bite started off a little slow, but Captain Chris never stopped working to keep us on fish. His knowledge and persistence paid off—we ended up limiting out! The boat was clean, organized, and very well maintained, From start to finish, everything was professional and well run. Zero complaints. If you’re looking for a captain who works hard and knows how to find fish, I highly recommend booking with Captain Chris. We’ll definitely be back! 🎣
My brothers and I reserved this charter to take our dad for Father’s Day weekend. We went in the afternoon where they said it was common to only carch about 7 fish. Chris and his partner plopped us right in a honey hole where we all caught our 5 fish limit with over half an hour left in our trip. We left with 20 fish in our boat that yieled over 50 pounds of fillets. We already reserved for next year for Father’s day weekend again. 100% recommend and wouldn’t go with anyone else.

Captain Christoper was fantastic. He was friendly, incrediby knowledgable and service oriented. He knew where the fish were, especially when other captains came up to him after we limited out in less than 3 hours. We were a family trip and Christopher was great with the kids and excited to them have a great time. We can’t wait for our next Michigan adventure and we will definitely call Flagship Fishing Charters the next time we are there!
