Joe has a passion for catching!
He used many methods and locations to ensure fishing translated to catching.  Variety of gear and bait onboard. 
VERY clean boat (and a nice potty). 
Joe and Eric (first mate) were both very attentive.  Book these guys if you have a wife and kid(s) on the trip, and you won’t go wrong. 
Great conversation and great music.
My son says, “Eric was very helpful.”  Eric and Joe were both great teachers from basic to advanced and had a good feel for the skill level on the boat.  I even learned how to make a dead fish swim like it’s live.  Shhh, I’m not telling; book Joe if you want to know. 
These guys are constantly working to get on the fish and get them in the boat.
Lots of great views thoughout the harbor are a bonus. 
Joe communicated when we booked, when the trip was near, and showed up on time the day of. 
Eric took plenty of great pictures and videos (which keeps dad fishing too). 
I’d book these guys again and again.

Captain Joe and mate Artie not only put myself and my 12 year old son onto fish right out of the gate but they both were really attentive in teaching my son about the fishing techniques and keeping him interested all day long. It was his very first time saltwater fishing and by the way, we crushed the strippers that day catching two dozen mature fish. You can really see their passion for catching trophy stripper’s that even when our charter was about up, Joe said let’s go find a couple more, and as he predicted we caught another few to ensure we ended our trip in excitement.
I am an experienced fisherman who has been on many fishing charters all across the country and I can say if you truly want a great experience go see Captain Joe and make great memories with your crew. I plan to come back to Boston next year to take another Fish Tales ride for great fishing and great family fun.

I’ve been on ten charters in various states and this charter is easily top two I’ve experienced. Both Captain Joe and First Mate Erik have a wealth of experience and worked relentlessly to ensure we were on the fish.

We had two young boys with us 7 and 9 as well as a first time fisher (65+) and everyone had a tremendous time. We learned a lot, caught a lot, took home a few that were slot size and my son caught a 40 lbs+ stripper completely solo.

Great memories were had by everyone and I’m confident we’ll be back to book with fish tales next time we’re in Boston.

Captain Joe was great in every aspect - from pre-trip communication to the actual fishing. He and his fist mate, Steve, worked hard to give us a great experience. We caught some amazing stripers, and had a blast!

Fish Tails Charter out of Winthrop, MA. Is amazing! Capt. Joe and Artie did it up for me and my son! First class all the way! The extra effort they put in before we arrived paid off in huge fish ways!! We not only caught some mackerel for bait which was crazy fun, but some massive stripper. Capt. Joe and Artie knew all the spots and what the fish loved. Could not have asked for a better time. We will 1000% book them again when we make another trip to Boston!! Thanks Capt.
