Slow day of fishing, but tough conditions. Good communication and was great with my son.

Capt Luke was great with our group of five including one tween. As soon as we booked he was communicating with me and checked in with me leading up to our trip. He was flexible and helpful both as we had to adjust times and in taking part of our group back out after others departed for the airport (thankfully the schedule allowed for both).

He had the fishing spots well identified and we were catching most of the time. He was FANTASTIC with our tween in helping him and teaching him at the same time. Capt Luke brought live and frozen bait and we netted some bait fish as well. Rods were quickly rebaited and recast.

Upon our return we made it to the dock just as a rain storm came in, Capt Luke gave us shelter in his truck while we waited for our Uber (which Charleston generally has a shortage of).

Would definitely recommend and would book again. Great time in the water, Capt Luke was friendly, instructive, communicative and helpful. I would also be remiss if I didn’t say he was incredibly polite, my son may get booked in Capt Luke manners boot camp!!

We had a great time shark fishing. It was interesting to go out and watch Luke catch our bait fish and then took us out to the channel to catch sharks. The largest shark we caught probably weighed close to 60 lbs! Captain Luke knows the area and knows where to get the biggest fish! I highly recommend this trip but be forewarned, after reeling in sharks for 2 hours it can be exhausting, but fun. I highly recommend this trip for any angler! The pick up spot was a bit confusing and it is a long walk to the dock.

Started the day off with a very nice boat ride up the channel. The day started off slow and we had to atop due to storm and lightning. Luke was very accommodating and he made adjustments to his schedule to get out back out once the storm passed. The 2nd half of the trip after the storm was still slow. We were able to land one good red fish and a couple small trout. Still a great day on the water.

My husband, son and I really enjoyed our shark fishing trip today with Captain Luke. Our son is 3 and LOVES to fish! He was very entertained with the live well on the boat while waiting for a bite. Cpt Luke let him help him cut up some bait, sit in the cpt chair and “drive the boat”. He was very patient and kind with our son and family! We caught a couple large sting rays, and a good sized couple of sharks and a small one perfect sized for our son Hunter! He took pictures for us and sent them right away.  Thanks so much Luke!!
