Not sure where to even begin for this rebuttal. First let me apologize for the trip not being up to your standards. I’m not sure how much fishing experience you have, but most people know the fishing unfortunately isn’t always great. We do pride ourselves on working really hard to provide the very best experience possible. So other people reading this will understand, you did a half day split charter which is half the cost of a private charter, shared with two other people to offset the cost. We are the only company in Key West that does split charters that limit them to only four people max. You are correct you originally booked an afternoon half-day and we called the evening before to move you to the morning because this time of year the fishing has been better in the morning and anyone that lives in Florida knows it’s not as hot in the morning. As for the boat you went on not “having seating” and only doing “ cruising speed”. You were on a 34 foot Seavee with twin Yamaha 300s. These boats retail for 375k and have a 2 year waiting list to get.  It is one of the nicest/fastest charter boats here in Key West.

As for the fishing if you recall Captain John tried to explain to you over and over The proper technique to catch the yellowtail snapper‘s and you continued to say “I know what I’m doing“ and continued to do it incorrectly.  thank you for pointing out the fact that Captain John tried 3 different places to produce fish for you. As for going shallower water means “ fishing was going to be a bust” in 20+ years in this business I’ve never heard that one. I can assure you that makes no sense at all, we catch plenty of large fish in shallow water. We were trying to find better conditions. Thank you for also pointing out the other boats at the dock came in with nice catches of Dolphin, and snapper. Those other boats are our boats and part of our fleet. Those boats all had private charters not a split charter, so they chose to go offshore. Lastly thank you for pointing out the fact that you chose us because of our good reviews. 99% of our reviews are 5 star. We like to think we work hard to please everyone. Unfortunately sometimes that’s not possible.
