We had a great charter with Capt. Chad. We booked with him the day before due to a cancellation of a previously booked charter. He not only put us on the fish, he also communicated ahead of time and recommended a slight time shift to make a better weather window. I would highly recommend Capt. Chad and El Capitano's Offshore for anyone visiting the St. Pete area.
Had an awesome experience on early morning run to target grouper. Weather was cool starting off but just perfect later in morning while fishing. We caught fish at every stop with Capt Chad, and easily caught or limit of keepers. Red Grouper mostly, several other species caught as well. A really nice experience for son and myself. I recommend El Capitano charters wholeheartedly! We will book again next time we visit area.
What a great day! That’s what my brother and I have been saying to each other over and over since we got back. We brought our four kids (12yo-5yo) on a six hour offshore trip. We came back with a ton of great memories and a cooler packed with meat. Captain Chad was so incredible with the kids. They will have lifelong memories of this amazing day. We ran into a large school of mahi mahi, which was super fun. We had an awesome battle with a cobia and got some sweet photos. We caught a ton of red grouper. One with an epic fight my son will NEVER forget. Nice mangrove snapper. Tasty lane snappers. I’m probably forgetting more. It was non-stop reeling. Great boat boat. Super well maintained. Very roomy, which was comfortable for fishing and traveling. If El Capitano is open, don’t hesitate. Definitely worth it.
