I booked a full day charter with Taco today and am pleased to report an exceptional experience. Initially, the boat and gear were first rate. Conditions were generally poor today (windy and rainy) and even in the rough waters the boat handled well. I certainly credit Taco for his handling of the boat in inclement weather.

On a day when other charters were getting skunked Taco put us on a number of fish. We landed five species of fish and released a large barracuda and smaller brown shark. We took four pounds of delicious snapper home for dinner.

Ultimately it was Taco and First Mate Dan that made the trip a success. I’ve chartered boats for 30+ years and unquestionably this was my best charter. Taco and Dan worked their tails off for us. We trolled, kite fished, bottom fished and trolled some more. Never a dull moment.

When we arrived we had a brief meeting with captain taco and Mike to see what the plan for the day would be. Several in the group thought mahi mahi would be a lot of fun. Otherws snappers if we had time and others. Their slip is super convenient and within minutes we were out on the Atlantic. It turned into one of the best fishing days in my 54 years lol. The two of them knew how to find and species and stay on them and were the best guys. Just like fishing with friends. The boat was super comfortable and very clean. We ended up with over a dozen mahi mahi and done mitten snapper and great fun memories. I highly recommend these two for a memorable experience.

Had great experience w Capt Taco and his mate Dan. Went w my son on short notice and able to accommodate us. Both r very experienced and also make the trip fun. They know the places to go and set up multiple types of rigs quickly. We caught a beautiful Mahi Mahi. When the fish hit and action began they knew exactly what to do to help us land it. Great day!

Trip of a lifetime. 6 hour trip. Seas were rougher but perfect day for kite fishing. Crew handled gear and conditions like professionals. We started off trolling, hooked some tuna and Bonita. We switched over to live bait. Highly recommend. Extra but worth it. We started kite fishing. Within 15 minutes we had 2 sailfish hooked. One got away. After that we hooked a king and the action died after that. The technique and finesse that the crew has was impressive. Top game trip I’ve been on. Definitely a repeater!

Taco and Dan are as good as you can get. Fish may or not be biting but you will have a good time. We caught one of the largest Amberjack I have ever seen.
