Expensive "SIGHT SEEING TRIP"
I was thoroughly let down. I've never taken a charter and NEVER have gotten skunked on one. I fish alot. To pay to get to Hawaii and bring 3 brothers whom have never fished for game fish like this and never have a hookup...that's a joke. They have great reviews but they didn't tell me is that this charter was under new management...only 8 months..the captain said he had 8 years experience but with whom? Was he new? This covid crap really screwed things up. Right away when we showed up, the captain was laying down excuses...what we most likely wouldn't catch...possibly catching only wahoo. Our trip was May 25th 2021.They only switched out two baits the whole trip..( 9 hours..we rented out the boat).They didn't seem up to the task of getting on fish. Either way, my brother and I tipped well because we're not coupon clipping white trash who understand how others have been affected by covid,loss of business...just hard times. Oahu waters are beautiful. I'm extremely disappointed. If I were you, I would do even more digging into an alternate charter for those looking. Steer clear from this one.
We are sorry to hear you had a disappointing trip. We all hate the days when no fish are caught. Your comment regarding new management is not true. Oahu Pelagic Sportfishing has always been under the same management. All reviews are under the same management. Our Captain Elliot has many years experience fishing the Hawaiian waters and Florida waters as well. He has caught many fish on our boat. Unfortunately the fish weren’t biting the day you were out which we know is very disappointing to you as well as the Captain and crew. Thank you for the review
