August is a tough time to catch fish, understandably. We booked a four hour trip, spent too much time at spots not catching anything because the captain seemed to have a predetermined schedule. We spent time netting bait fish that we didn’t use. We moved to a location that had a current so rough only two people out of our party of four could fish at a time. Not cool. So two people are just sitting there doing nothing? Didn’t pay for that. I booked inshore fishing because I was afraid one of our party would get sick and at this rough spot that’s exactly what happened. So trip over early. Still paid full price. Not a good experience and not worth the money. Book earlier in the summer for sure.

Captain Charlie is one of the nicest fishermen we could hope to meet. We will be back on Fishbait in October, with luck.
