Six hour afternoon, Nearshore

3/4 Day Trip – Nearshore (PM)5 adults

Captain Doug, Mate Chandler, and boat were all great. Lousy weather turned the fish off, but we a great time anyway. Caught Ribbonfish (or Beltfish) gonna have a fish fry for lunch tomorrow. Highly Recommend.

I wonderful group on a very lousy weather day. But we went out and we tried our best to locate something in the 6-hour trip. A trip that most people would have wanted to change thinking that the weather was too lousy the ways were Ford to 6 ft and the group held in there like troopers.

    Awesome boys fishing trip!

    Tower Trip (AM) • 6 adults • 3 children

    Six of us sailed with Captain Doug and First Mate Robbie today - 3 boys aged 8-12, two dads and grandpa. We let them know ahead of time we wanted to catch Mahi and Amberjack, and they worked hard to make sure we were not disappointed. We ended up landing not only a few AJs and a bunch of Mahi, but also scored some false tuna, a Barjack and even a Barracuda. We even saw a sea turtle by the tower which the boys loved. It was a beautiful day out on the water and the crew was excellent. Highly recomend for anyone looking for a knowledgable crew and a great day of fun in beautiful OBX. We'll be back!

    6 Hour Trip - Nearshore (Later AM) • 4 adults • 2 children

    1st time on a fishing trip with my family. Captain Doug was accommodating during the booking process and welcomed us while we boarded. There was a TV with dvd's for the kids while we motored to the fishing area. The big beanbag chair was very comfortable. My boys had a blast and we caught lots of Spanish mackerel. We started at 6 am and added the 2 hour extension later (Captain Doug is patient and flexible). Unfortunately I got seasick so we cut our trip short. A great experience overall and one my family will always remember. Shout out to Rob the 1st mate , he is experienced and capable and hard working. One suggestion to the inexperienced, bring earplugs.

    Best first fishing trip!

    Our family had a great time fishing with Captain Doug and First Mate Robbie! In our group, two of us had some experience with fishing while the rest of the group had none. Robbie told us exactly what to do and we went home with enough fish to stock the freezer! Our 7-year-old left saying fishing was his favorite part of vacation. Really a great trip, I highly recommend them to anyone looking to fish in OBX.

    Capt Doug and Mate Dillon made our trip one of the best trips ever taken. Our friends that accompanied us had never been on a trip like this one and cannot stop talking about it! We will definitely be coming back next year. We caught Spanish mackerel .

    Great Family Fishing Trip

    4 Hour Trip - Nearshore (AM) • 6 adults • 1 child

    Went out for a four hour morning fishing trip with family (four kids, 12-16) and had a great time. Caught just over 40 fish (mostly bluefish, Spanish mackerel, and Atlantic moonfish). Captain and mate were great and made us comfortable and welcome from the first, ‘hello’. Would highly recommend No Sweat Sportsfishing to anyone looking to have a great morning, or day, on the water.
