We had booked a charter for 5 people for 10+ hours . My 78 year old mother thankfully declined to go. The captain knew of her advanced age and said he could accommodate us; he clearly could not. The boat was very small with no bathroom facilities…  I had inquired before about bringing chairs because of being unable to stand 10 hours and was told to bring them no problem.  Immediately upon arrival he said there’s no room for chairs or anything. So I sat on some sort of box while the rest sat on the side of the boat. We are meat fishermen, we want food not trophies and had specifically asked if we would fish for snapper, grouper, hogfish, and was told with a 1p hour trip we’d fish for everything but, all the capt wanted to fish for was mahi, wahoo, and mackerel , we only found 1 school of small mahi, which was fun but after trolling another 3 hours with nothing we requested to fish for something else, grouper, snapper, whatever just wanted to catch fish not boat ride. The capt started to do as we’d asked but got mad and said we could troll.or nothing.  We ended the trip hours early but did pay him for the full trip plus a small tip.

We were really excited for this trip since we have never done anything like this. The day started great Benny was super friendly but, as the day went on it got worse. When we were in the area to start fishing Benny gave one of us the steering wheel to the boat to drive it while he got the poles situated, we have zero experience driving a boat in the ocean. This made us both very nervous. I understand that the weather is unpredictable but the waves were horrible, I have been in the ocean before on a boat but this was so bad. We felt unsafe the entire time. We ended up getting sea sick and going back to shore 2 hours early, which was our decision. But I would suggest that Benny have someone else help him with the steering and/or fishing gear.
