  I came to the keys for a boys trip with my 2 little boys and wanted to take them ocean fishing and came across Captain J. Im always hesitant about these things but this captain was amazing. Hes excellent with kids but could tell if they weren't there, he'd be a lot of fun as grown ups too. Fantastic experience.

  Exciting trip

  2 Hour Trip (1:00pm) on October 14, 2025 • 2 adults

  This fishing trip was so exciting! We took a 2 hour tour. I asked Joey to put us on some fish, and he did it!! We caught snappers, jacks and a 40lb nurse shark. Safely released the shark. We chose not to keep and clean any of the fish. He took us to the mangroves at the last stop and that’s when it got crazy!!! I had a tarpon hit my line, he smoked my bait and line so quickly. We were not rigged for such a fish. Joey jumped into action and quickly changed that. He coached me exactly where to place that bait and how to allow it to drift with the current. We saw the tarpon only a few feet from the bait and a barracuda grabbed it. We placed it again with the current and waited, but the tarpon had moved on. That was an adrenaline packed situation just waiting for that strike but it didn’t happen. Maybe next time. Call Joey, book that trip and enjoy. Joey is friendly, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. We’ll see Joey next year!!!!

  We had the best time with Captain Joey! Our family fishing trip was absolutely perfect from start to finish. He was friendly, patient, and made the whole experience so much fun—especially for our two boys, who were thrilled to catch their own fish! Captain Joey went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time on the water. We learned so much, laughed a ton, and made amazing memories as a family. Highly recommend Captain Joey for anyone looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure! 🎣🚤

  Fantastic Captain and trip!

  We took a 2 hour trup with our 6 and 10 tear old and were immediately on sharks once we stopped. My son caught his first shark ever! 60lb nurse shark. We then moved to an area filled with snapper and caught plenty. Joey was super friendly and knowledgeable. definitely going back next time!

  Great day on the inshore gulf

  Early October trip 10/08 we are both experienced boaters and anglers. Went out for a half day. Capt Joe was very responsive to calls and texts. He asked what we preferred, method / species and he put us on the fish. Very nice boat and layout. Comfortable outing- experienced, knowledgeable good guy. Even though we were catching, he asked if we wanted to try other areas / species. Give ‘em a go!
