After booking this trip back in January, my hopes were for a 20-30 bass,some 4-5 lbs and hopefully a 7to8. Well I didn’t catch 30 fish, but My best 5 approached 35 # including a 9lb 7oz beauty. A friend asked if it fought and I told him it felt like setting the hook on a brick wall. I was reluctant to use bait, but at this time I’m a believer. Kip was prepared and lost no time having tackle ready to use at all times. Lots of great conversation and fishing stories.
Be prepared to go out early 6:15, first few hours often the best my biggest (and first) fish was caught before 7, I believe. Be prepared to pay a premium for live Golden Shiners upwards of $25 a dozen, but will give you the best chance for really big bass. AJs will make every effort to make you a great day.
