Delicious Trout!

Clearly the pic above is a Bull Red, but the trout I prepared from some of our catch is outstanding. I went on the trip for redfish, but am very pleased with the trout catch. Our initial reservation was canceled by that captain a week before we traveled from all over the country for this trip (Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and Louisiana) so we were glad not only to replace that trip, but fortunate to have Pelican as the replacement. Captain Jimmy did an excellent job of putting us on fish, knowing when a spot went cold/when to move on, explaining the what and why of what we did, and took excellent care of all 4 of us - from my adult kids (daughter pictured) to my 86 y.o father. It wasn't the first in-shore trip for any of us and this was among the best experiences we've had. He's personable and polite, and remembered all our names after our first meeting. He did his best to make sure we got the day we were after, and that's super important to me. He wasn't watching the clock for a reason to end the day like I've seen in reviews of other charters. I highly recommend Jimmy (Shaw?) and Pelican.

Limit of reds by 9:30 and spent the rest of the day catching bull reds. 40 plus bull reds. Trip of a lifetime. Captain Eddie was great.
