Marlin we’re not in season nor were tuna we should’ve bottom fished. But we’re not given the option, we basically went on a boat ride knowing we were not going to catch any fish.I read the same thing on the review and that’s exactly what we got. Unfortunately I saw this negative comment last night. This morning I called the captain to see what happened because Our Mary has implemented basic rules and one of them is to ask the to the group if the would like bottom fishing, trolling fishing, or a little bit of both before going out to sea.
At the end of every trip we use to ask our clients how they enjoyed the trip, and this specific client said, “My daughter bought this trip as a gift, and she bought it very rushed without looking at the details, I didn’t fish how I wanted to and we didn’t catch anything.” (This is what our customer said at our office.) When there are different people on a open trip, we do what the majority of the clients would like whether it’s bottom fishing, or trolling, or both, and this sometimes leaves one person unsatisfied and not getting what they want because everyone else on the boat chose something else. We recommend that you book a private 4 hour charter, or a open 7 hour charter, so that you have more time and opportunities to fish the way you would like to fish, bottom, trolling, or a little of both.

We had a fantastic day at sea with the captain and crew. Although we didn’t land any deep-sea tuna this time (which is part of the sport), the experience was outstanding from start to finish. It was a wonderful experience, we had many opportunities to bottom fish and attempt some big game fishing too. The captain and crew even prepared a whole meal for us on the way back to the Island (chicken, salad, and sandwiches!) They have plenty of iced beverages as well. Overall, it was a great time. Would absolutely recommend this trip and Capitão José!
