If you’re looking for a terrific captain to fish with in Jacksonville, look no further!
I’ve been on dozens of fishing charters, and Joe is easily the best charter captain I’ve ever fished with. He is extremely knowledgeable of biology and the ecosystem, and taught us a lot about the fish we were catching, and even the different types of shrimp we were using as bait and the birds that were around us.
He has a fantastic center console boat with plenty of space and power to get to the fish quick, but also able to get into some really small water in the Timucuan Preserve. He put us on top of fish in January in Jacksonville; which is obviously very difficult. We were catching red fish, trout, and sheep head all day long. At times my brother, niece and I were all hooked up at the same time. My niece is 10 years old, and a novice angler. Joe was a perfect gentleman around her, and would even cast her line for her right into the perfect spot for her where fish were waiting and taught her how to cast more accurately on her own.
Joe even had a technique where he’d puncture the main artery coming out of the trouts gills to let them bleed out and have a better tasting filet, and also suggested some recipes as he was filleting the fish. We used his blackened recipe, and it was fantastic!

Captain Joe was fantastic from start to finish. The day began with Captain picking me up from a closer location that saved a half hour of travel time.  Put us on fish right away and was none stop catching fish. Very knowledgeable and experienced. I’ve fished off the North Shore Oahu, Hawaii, Costa Rica and off the South Texas Gulf Coast and this trip was one of the best experiences. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend fishing with Captain Joe!! He has a great knowledge of the area and what is has to offer. He took great care of us out on the water and put us on some great fish!! Fantastic vibes and very friendly. Would definitely go back out with him again!!!

Excellent captain: very safety conscious, but focused on fun and positive interaction with his guests.

We went offshore in fairly choppy seas. Caught king and Spanish mackerel, big red snapper (to be released) and shark (also released). Captain handled the boat flawlessly.

Two teenage boys greatly enjoyed everything about the day.

My son (14) and I were blown away with Joe and his knowledge of fishing.  We not only had a great time, but were able to complete the “Grand Slam” of in-shore fishing, catching 5 different species of fish.  We caught over 10 fish all together.  Captain Joe was patient with us as we aren’t super experienced fisherman and at same time he was just “one of the guys” in how easy it was to talk to him.  I would highly recommend Captain Joe to novice fisherman all the way up to someone who is very experienced.  We will definitely be back.  Thanks!
