Hi Terri,
  Leaving the harbor I got a call from a good friend stating that he had found the big Yellowfin Tuna that we had been catching all week…see video from the day before… so I headed out   which is costly on my part because of fuel consumption. The sea was calm and it was sunny…perfect conditions. I have been getting some Yellowtail and Dorado on the Patty’s on the way out and back as well. We found the Big Yellowfin Tuna but they were not biting. It was only a four hour trip and my job is to do the best I possibly can to put you on the fish so I headed back inshore in Hope’s for some action the second two hours of the 4 hour charter.

We hooked and landed four species of fish on the second half of our trip… a nice Bonito,  big Barracuda, keeper Calico Bass and Pacific Mackerel . We did bottom fish at a couple of spots but the cold green water that moved in hindered that action. I know you got some good pictures with the fish we did catch and I hope you enjoyed your fresh caught poke I prepared and the bass for the grill. I realize that you had higher Hope’s but I am not God or Mother Nature. If we would have landed one of the big ones you would have been really really happy. I wish you and your family the best of luck.

I’m glad we caught some fish and in the future I will dig a little deeper on customers expectations and fishing preferences. I did stay out longer than scheduled trying. I wanted to get you the big one. Thank you for the business.

8/10/22 fish report
The Bluefin came in close today-100lb class 2 miles offshore. The past two days we have a patti marked that is holding lots of 5-25 pound class Dorado. Nice 73 degree clear blue water right now so its fishing time in Dana Point. Makos follow the Dorado-8-12 foot makos will make you work! water temp 75

After the trip when I requested payment you asked for a discount and I lowered the price of the trip to $285.00 from the $355.00 owed.
