I can’t recommend Luck o’the Irish Fishing highly enough!  Captain Omar’s knowledge of Lake Tawakani and his ability to find the fish was simply astounding. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a beginner (we were one of each) he catered to our skill levels with patience and expertise.  He didn’t just guide us to catch fish; he made sure we had a blast while doing so!  We caught our limit and he lined them all up for pics, cleaned, bagged, iced and delivered to our cabin!  “Here fishy fishy fishy!”

Loved the trip, loved the experience, loved the Captain and the Co-Captain and to top it all off we happened to catch some fish. Considering that we we pulled away from the dock and the water temp was 91 degrees at 6:45 in the morning I was not expecting much. But I had my sons with me, so I was already a winner. We spot casted for blow ups and then we trolled. Both of these techniques were demanding on the Captain. Not to mention to his patient with us with a couple of tangles and bird nest, he kept us fishing with minimal interruptions. Despite the fact we were being followed which put more pressure on him, to us it was a sign that even the locals knew that he would find the fish. When it turned on it was on. My youngest son out fished me and his brother together bringing in two at a time most of the time but the smiles and laughter was the icing on the cake. The captain was informative, entertaining and took very good care of us. So we ended up with about 57 fish not to mention the ones that fell off the hook or that was not legal size. So after returning to the dock at about 107 degrees weather temperature, our fish were filleted, white washed (captain cleaning technique) and bagged for the freezer. So we headed home and unpacked and was so drained form the heat, we ate our leftover sandwiches and went to sleep only to be woken up by my wife in the kitchen frying a couple of fillets. Their is nothing like fresh fried corn meal coated fillets at 12 in the morning. I highly recommend this charter Captain Omar, Luck O the Irish fishing guide was great. We had such a great time that the ladies of the family want to have a fishing competition. The women go out to fish and once they come back it will be the men’s turn just to see whom is the better fisher-person. Lol Thanks for a great day.

It’s the birthday weekend of the greatest man in the world to me, I wanted to give him something that he would really enjoy for his birthday, I thought how about we go fishing, being new to Texas I really didn’t know where to go then I Googled fishing trips and came upon Luck O’  The Irish Fishing Guide Service, I booked an all day fishing trip for my husband and his brother, I was nervous not knowing what to expect, would they have fun, would they catch any fish, would it be a nice boat, Luck O’ The Irish Fishing exceeded my expectations based on the day my husband explained to me he and his brother had, they had a great fishing trip,  thanks to Luck O’ Irish Fishing Guide Service, we plan on using them again. Omar was amazing from the start with good communication, helpful advice, and flexibility on schedule. He goes out of his way to make sure nothing goes wrong, and handles everything for you so that even if you don’t know a thing about fishing, you’ll still have a great time.
I highly recommend him and this business for families wanting to take their kids fishing and don’t know what to do, or for anyone who wants to have a great time fishing and not have to worry about gear and where to go.
He filleted our large haul of white bass and did a better job of cleaning them than any guide I’ve had before. Five stars for sure!

Captain Jonathan was personal, funny, and attentive. He was AMAZING with my 9 yo, which I really appreciate. He knew the lake and the fish habits very well, and was super generous with sharing his knowledge with us. I can’t recommend him enough! Great experience!
